About
Hyejin Kim is a video artist who carries videos for performances and public institutions single-handedly, from planning through filming, editing and color grading. Kim has made the lineup video for the 44th Busan Theater Festival, the background video for the Busan Metropolitan Boys and Girls Choir's family musical 《Kongjwi and Patjwi》, and 《Signal of Our Rights》, a children's rights video series for Busanjin-gu Office. For 《Kongjwi and Patjwi》, Kim used generative AI to create the spaces and object sources, then animated them. Kim is drawn to work in which a single small device changes the experience of watching.

At Open Circuit

Since August 2026, Hyejin Kim has been making a technology-based work at Open Circuit Busan. The work will premiere at the showcase at Sasang Indie Station on December 19, and documentation will be posted here after the exhibition.
