About

Hyewon Choi is a sculptor who sees the sea and its waves as a process of anxiety, change and recovery. Choi designs the motors and mechanical structures that create rotation, vibration and tilt. In the recent work 《Ungseong Ungseong (UNG_城)》, beads roll on the principle of a wave drum to make the sound of waves. Choi has held four solo exhibitions and took part in an exchange exhibition in Shanghai. Choi completed a master's degree in sculpture at Dong-A University and works in Jangnim, Busan.
