About

Minsong Kim is a painter who collects and paints old books and documents, natural objects and suseok (viewing stones). The work deals with the point where a desire to manage the anxiety of information overload through collecting collides with an urge to possess nature and time. Kim has held fourteen solo exhibitions, taken part in residencies in Greece and Italy, and presented VR painting videos and a VR mapping exhibition. Kim teaches VR and AI at Busan Arts Middle School.

At Open Circuit

Since August 2026, Minsong Kim has been making a technology-based work at Open Circuit Busan. The work will premiere at the showcase at Sasang Indie Station on December 19, and documentation will be posted here after the exhibition.
