About
Kunye Kim is an illustrator and painter who paints the dreams and imaginings of the deep night as if traveling through them. Kim has held the solo exhibitions 《The Shape of the Heart》, 《A Moment of Rippling》 and 《NAKED》, and self-published the picture book 《A Conversation in Dance》. Moving between performance, publishing and exhibitions, as in the artwork for the Korea National Opera's 《The Tales of Hoffmann》, Kim makes pictures for each. Kim is a resident artist in the 6th cohort of Busan's Tottatoga and teaches drawing to children and adults.

At Open Circuit

Since August 2026, Kunye Kim has been making a technology-based work at Open Circuit Busan. The work will premiere at the showcase at Sasang Indie Station on December 19, and documentation will be posted here after the exhibition.
